Position Summary We are currently seeking a reliable Sandblast Operator to join our Paint and Sandblast Department on weekend shift (Friday-Sunday). This role is responsible for operating sandblasting equipment to clean and prepare fabricated steel components ahead of painting and coating, with a primary focus on surface quality and production schedules.

Required Qualifications Technical Knowledge:

Working knowledge of industrial sandblasting equipment, blasting media, and surface preparation procedures.

Experience:

Prior sandblasting, paint prep, or fabrication experience preferred; willing to train the right candidate.

Operational Skills:

Ability to safely operate sandblasting equipment and select the appropriate media for the material and finish required.

Communication:

Strong verbal communication skills for coordinating with the paint team and reporting surface issues.

Organization:

Demonstrated ability to stage, track, and prioritize parts to keep production on schedule.

Standards:

Strict adherence to established safety and quality-control protocols. Physical Requirements Ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 lbs; participation in team lifts for heavier components. Ability to work in a shop environment subject to seasonal temperature fluctuations (heat/cold). Physical stamina to stand, bend, stoop, and kneel for the duration of a shift. Candidates must pass a post-offer drug screening.
