Your expertise will help bring large-scale projects to life, ensuring safety, precision, and quality at every step. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with skilled professionals on diverse infrastructure and building projects, contributing to the creation of enduring structures that stand the test of time. Duties Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to accurately assemble and install metal structures Measure, cut, weld, and assemble steel components using various welding techniques including
MIG, TIG, FCAW
(Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) in accordance with AWS standards Operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, and measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to ensure precise fabrication and installation Use cranes and other heavy equipment safely to lift and position large steel members or sheet metal components Thread pipes, fabricate ductwork, and perform metal fabrication tasks following ASME codes & standards Adhere strictly to safety protocols during all phases of work to maintain a safe construction environment Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks involving metal materials and structural components Requirements Proven construction site experience with a strong understanding of mechanical fabrication and metal materials Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and interpret mechanical blueprints accurately Proficiency in welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, and gas metal arc welding (GMAW) with knowledge of AWS standards Experience operating cranes, power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, and measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers Basic math skills including shop math necessary for measurements and fabrication calculations Familiarity with pipe threading, ductwork installation, soldering, plasma cutting, and assembly processes Knowledge of ASME codes & standards related to metal fabrication and construction safety protocols Mechanical knowledge combined with construction site experience to ensure quality workmanship Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately for precise fabrication and installation tasks Join us in building robust structures that make a lasting impact!
