Job Description

Steel Fabricator/Welder's Helper
  • Experienced compensation: Pay ranges from $23
  • 28 DOE employment type: full-time job title: Structural Steel Experienced Fabricator / Erector's Helper Reputable welding Shop located in Verdi, NV seeking certified welder for structural steel fabrication and installation.
This position requires both shop & field work. Candidates should be certified, or have been certified in the recent past. Candidates MUST have at least 3-5 years welding experience, and will need to work with minimal supervision, direction. This is a year-round, full-time position. Candidates will need to be able to work well with clients, fellow employees, and management on a daily basis in person, and on-site.

  • Must have E71T and 7018 certifications.

Starting Pay:
$23.00 Completing all duties: $25.00

Per Hour Role:
Fabricate, weld, assemble, paint, and install structural and ornamental components based on design specifications. General Job Duties include, but are not limited to:
Shop:
1. Must have E71T and 7018 certifications. 2. Maintain all welding certifications. 3. Be actively working toward obtaining other applicable welding certifications. 4. General steel fabrication experience. 5. Set-up welding equipment. 6. Make parts. 7. Cut/handle material. 8. Paint. 9. Shoot studs. 10. Drill holes. 11. Work towards being proficient in layout. 12. Work towards being proficient in fit up. 13. Work towards being proficient in marking-up beams. 14. Make deliveries. 15. Clean and prepare surfaces for welding. 16. Follow schedule and complete projects in a timely manner.
Field:
1. Assist/ensure trucks are stocked with all necessary consumables to complete project on site. 2. Assist/ensure the truck is stocked with all material and hardware to complete project on site. 3. Assist/ensure trucks have necessary working tools to complete project 4. Working at heights and tight spaces and various weather conditions. 5. Torching 6. Lifting 7. Cutting and welding. 8. Working with hand and power tools.
Responsibilities:
1. Proficient in interpreting blueprints and technical drawings and specifications (E Sheet). 2. Operate welding machines. 3. Ensure accurate measurements and fitment. 4. Operate machinery (shear, forklift, press brake, etc.) 5. Collaborate with other team members to complete projects. 6. Load and unload material.
