Position Summary Reporting to the Pre-Construction Manager, the Senior Project Architect will lead architectural pre-construction activities, interface with high-profile corporate clients, direct internal and external engineering partners, and provide crucial design oversight through project completion.

Key Responsibilities Full-Lifecycle Architectural Leadership:

Manage all architectural design phases: Schematic Design (SD), Design Development (DD), Construction Documents (CD), Bidding, and Construction Administration (CA).

Client Consultation & Layout Design:

Meet directly with clients to capture space and functional requirements; create buildable, cost-conscious site layouts and architectural concepts.

Multi-Disciplinary Design Lead:

Coordinate civil, structural, and MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) engineering teams to ensure integrated, accurate document packages for bidding and building.

Value Engineering & Permitting:

Lead value-engineering solutions during the pre-construction/bidding phase. Prepare permit packages, monitor agency reviews, and secure code approvals.

Construction Administration & Quality Control:

Review consultant documents, trade submittals, and RFIs. Maintain updated construction/as-built drawings and mentor junior team members.

On-Site Coordination:

Conduct periodic site inspections, assess construction accuracy, and represent the design team in job-site progress meetings.

Qualifications & Requirements Credentials & Education:

Education:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.

Licensure:

Active Registered Architect (RA) license is required .

Driver's License:

Valid U.S. driver's license with ability to travel locally/regionally as required.

Technical Competencies:

Software:

Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit , AutoCAD , Bluebeam , and Microsoft Project .

Codes & Standards:

In-depth knowledge of U.S. national, state, and local building codes, zoning regulations, and agency guidelines.

Workflow:

Strong understanding of design-build delivery methods, material specifications, and pre-construction estimating integration.
