PrideStaff is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Skid Builder to join our team in a fast-paced manufacturing facility. In this role, you will play a critical part in the supply chain by ensuring that metal products are packaged securely and prepared for safe, damage-free shipping.
Core Responsibilities:
Build Custom Skids:
Construct custom wooden skids and pallets tailored to specific product sizes.
Order Preparation:
Prepare heavy metal orders for shipment, ensuring they are banded, protected, and staged correctly for transport.
Product Handling:
Assist in the processing of metal products as needed within the shop.
Safety & Compliance:
Operate all shop equipment (saws, nail guns, etc.) safely and maintain a clean, hazard-free workspace at all times.
Team Support:
Coordinate with the shipping and production teams to ensure all orders meet strict quality and timeline standards.
Requirements & Qualifications:
Experience:
Prior experience building crates, skids, or pallets is a significant plus, but we are willing to train the right individual who is mechanically inclined.
Tool Proficiency:
Comfortable using pneumatic nail guns, circular saws, and other basic carpentry/hand tools.
Physical Stamina:
Ability to stand for long shifts, perform repetitive motions, and lift heavy materials safely.
Reliability:
A consistent track record of punctuality and strong attendance.
Safety Gear:
Steel-toed boots are required.

Rate (Up to): $20.00•$21.00 Per Hour
