Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Architectural Metal Fabricator with a minimum of five years of dedicated experience in metal fabrication, specializing in architectural applications. This role involves transforming detailed blueprints and technical drawings into high-quality metal components, ensuring precision and adherence to safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess extensive shop fabrication expertise, mechanical knowledge, and proficiency with various welding techniques. Duties Capable of running a department and leading a team Capable of budgeting projects Capable of ordering supplies Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to accurately produce metal components for architectural projects Measure, cut, shape, and assemble steel, aluminum, SS, brass and other metal materials using hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, and machining equipment Perform welding operations (including stick, MIG, TIG and laser ), ensuring compliance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and shop math to verify dimensions and maintain quality control throughout the fabrication process Operate cranes, forklifts and other shop equipment safely during assembly phases when required Adhere strictly to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment in accordance with industry best practices Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high-quality standards Qualifications Excellent hand tool skills along with the ability to operate power tools safely and effectively Knowledge of AWS standards for welding quality assurance; understanding of metal materials used in architectural projects Mechanical knowledge including basic shop math skills necessary for precise measurements and calculations
