Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and dependable Experienced Hollow Metal Technician to join our dynamic construction and fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing and repairing hollow metal doors, frames, and related components across various construction sites. Your expertise will ensure that projects meet strict building codes, safety standards, and client specifications. Responsibilities Install, hang, and align hollow metal doors and frames with precision, ensuring proper fit and function according to architectural plans and schematics Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to accurately fabricate and assemble metal components Use power tools, hand tools, welding equipment, and fabrication machinery to cut, shape, weld, and assemble metal parts Perform maintenance and mechanical repairs on existing door systems, hardware, locks, and associated fixtures Conduct glass installation, caulking, trim carpentry, and fixture installation as needed for complete door assemblies Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and project specifications during all phases of installation Experience Proven experience in hollow metal door installation, or repair in a construction or remodeling environment Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics reading Construction site experience with the ability to work safely in dynamic environments involving heavy lifting and physical labor Knowledge of building code compliance standards related to door installation and hardware security systems Skilled in interpreting technical drawings and blueprints for precise fabrication and installation tasks Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues quickly while maintaining high safety standards
