PM Key Responsibilities:
Perform high-quality MIG welding on steel components to meet strict quality and production standards. Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, weld symbols, and work instructions. Maintain consistent, repeatable weld quality across production runs using jigs and fixtures. Set up, operate, and maintain welding machines and basic fabrication tools (grinders, saws, benders). Inspect completed welds and finished parts to ensure structural integrity and precise specifications. Safely handle materials around the shop, including operating a forklift when needed. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace while adhering to all PPE safety protocols.
Requirements:
Experience:
Proven experience with MIG welding in a manufacturing or production shop environment.
Blueprint Reading:
Ability to read shop drawings, measurements, and welding symbols.
Material Handling:
Experience operating a forklift (or willingness to be certified/trained).
Work Ethic:
Strong attention to detail, quality-driven mindset, punctual, and reliable.
Weld Testing:
Ability to pass a hands-on shop weld test prior to placement. Preferred Qualifications (A Plus, Not Required): Experience with TIG welding. Broad metal fabrication skills (cutting, grinding, press brake/bending). Experience using jigs/fixtures for volume production.
