Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety protocols, including proper handling of welding gases, power tools, and metal materials. Collaborate with team members on construction sites or fabrication shops to assemble components accurately while adhering to AWS standards for quality and safety. Requirements Proven construction site experience with a strong understanding of metal fabrication processes. Skilled in MIG welding with knowledge of
FCAW, SMAW, TIG
welding, and gas metal arc welding techniques. Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and mechanical blueprints confidently. Familiarity with measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and shop math for precise fabrication work. Mechanical knowledge related to pipe threading, assembly, machining, plasma cutting, and construction processes. Experience working with sheet metal fabrication and structural steel components on construction sites or in fabrication shops. Knowledge of AWS standards for welding quality assurance and safety protocol adherence. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, and other fabrication equipment safely. Strong mechanical blueprint interpretation skills combined with basic math proficiency for accurate measurements. Construction experience including working with cranes or heavy machinery is a plus but not mandatory.
