Overview Join our dynamic team as a MIG Welder, where your expertise in metal fabrication and welding will drive the creation of high-quality structural components and assemblies. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction projects, utilizing your skills in MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding and mechanical fabrication. You will be instrumental in ensuring that all welded structures meet strict safety and quality standards, adhering to industry best practices and AWS (American Welding Society) guidelines. Responsibilities Set up welding equipment and prepare materials using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and shop math calculations to ensure precise fabrication. Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and mechanical blueprints to accurately execute welding tasks on sheet metal, pipe, and structural components. Perform MIG welding along with other techniques like FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding), and TIG welding as required for different projects. Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, and machining equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal materials according to specifications. Read and interpret technical drawings, construction plans, and fabrication shop orders to ensure adherence to project requirements. Measure materials with calipers, micrometers, and measuring instruments to verify dimensions before welding or assembly. Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety protocols, including proper handling of welding gases, power tools, and metal materials. Collaborate with team members on construction sites or fabrication shops to assemble components accurately while adhering to AWS standards for quality and safety.
