Ironworkers / Field Welders - Direct Hire | Lancaster, PA Area Superior Skilled Trades is seeking experienced Ironworkers / Field Welders for a temp‑to‑hire opportunity with a respected steel contractor performing work within one hour of Lancaster, Pennsylvania . This role is ideal for ironworkers with strong field welding and structural erection experience who are comfortable working on active construction sites.

Pay Rate:
$28-$33/hour (DOE)
Job Locations:
Various sites within 1 hour of Lancaster, PA (Ephrata, PA 17522)
Work Environment:
Active commercial construction sites Job Responsibilities Install, fit, and erect structural steel and miscellaneous metals Perform field welding using SMAW (stick) and MIG processes Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and erection plans Bolt, align, and secure steel members into position Operate torches, grinders, mag drills, and other fabrication tools Assist with rigging, hoisting, and positioning steel components Work safely from lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and elevated structures Coordinate daily work with foremen and project managers Maintain clean, organized work areas and follow OSHA safety standards Required Skills & Experience Prior experience as an ironworker, structural welder, or steel erector Proficiency in stick welding required; MIG welding preferred Ability to read structural drawings and weld symbols Experience using erection and fabrication tools Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Willingness to travel to regional job sites AWS certifications (D1.1) a plus but not required Tools & PPE Standard PPE required (no specialty tools required)
