Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Metal fabricator - Metal Worker to join our dynamic manufacturing team. Responsibilities Operate a variety of metalworking machinery including welding equipment, robotic welding, press brake machines, plasma cutters, and plate rolls to shape and form metal parts. Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to ensure accurate fabrication. Use hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and precision measuring instruments to inspect parts for quality and adherence to specifications. Perform welding tasks utilizing various techniques such as MIG, TIG, or arc welding to join metal parts securely. Conduct quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process to identify defects or deviations from standards. Maintain safety protocols when operating cranes, forklifts, and other heavy equipment while handling sheet metal and fabricated components. Assist in assembly processes by fitting parts together according to technical drawings and specifications. Support continuous improvement initiatives by maintaining clean work areas and properly managing tooling and fabrication materials. Requirements Proven experience operating plasma cutting machines, press brakes, plate rolls, and welding equipment. Strong mechanical knowledge of manufacturing processes and metal fabrication techniques. Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret GD&T specifications for precise machining. Skilled in using hand tools such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments for quality inspection. Familiarity with basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations involved in machining tasks. Certification or experience with forklift operation and crane handling is preferred but not mandatory. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high safety standards. Able to work 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM Excellent teamwork skills with a focus on quality craftsmanship and attention to detail.
