Job Description
Ironworker Field Crew Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled ironworker to join our field crew. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation and erection of steel structures Responsibilities Erect and install columns, beams, joists and trusses. Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy machinery to lift, position, and secure steel structures Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings Collaborate with construction management and other trades such as concrete forming, masonry, carpentry, roofing, and siding to coordinate project timelines and safety protocols Perform heavy lifting tasks safely using appropriate equipment and techniques while adhering to all safety standards Conduct quality checks on installed steel components to ensure structural integrity and compliance with specifications Experience Experience in steel building erection and installation. Skilled in welding techniques and operation of heavy equipment used in steel erection Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings and erection plans. Knowledge of construction management practices and site safety protocols Prior work experience required
