Fabricator Ability to Fabricate Miscellaneous Items. Fabricated items include, but are not limited to steel staircases and railings, structural steel beams and columns, gates and fencing, bollards, lintels, and framing. Fabricators are responsible for the fabrication of specific scope items as defined by the shop foreman. Position requires experience reading and understanding fabrication drawings including weld symbols, measurements, and layout design.
Essential Job Functions:
Fabricate, layout assemble and weld according to shop drawings and specifications. Preference to candidates with experience in the Miscellaneous Metals field Knowledge of Stick, Mig & Tig welding Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions. Knowledge of tools and equipment that will be utilized. (Ironworker, saw, plasma table, hand tools) Adherence to Behavioral and Conduct standards Adherence to Safety protocols All other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements:
Ability to assemble processed parts on a given layout Basic understanding of fabrication drawings Knowledge and ability to assemble parts square and level Ability to lift 50+ lbs Ability to work with limited supervision High School Diploma or equivalent preferred Welding certification preferred Experience fabricating stairs, railings, and/or structural steel beams and columns is a plus Experience welding
GMAW, FCAW, GTAW
Ability to read and understand welding symbols Knowledge of and experience reading shop fabrication drawings and layout dimensions Ability to assemble complex railings Ability to layout and mock up complex stairs Bending and forming knowledge and ability Advanced ability in geometry to obtain dimensional information Experience using and operating shop equipment including welding machines, torches, saws, grinders, etc.
Pay:
$24.00 - $30.00 per hour
