DOE — $20-$28/hr About Us BC Metalworks is a custom metal fabrication shop in Honeyville, Utah. We design, build, and install ornamental railings, custom gates, fencing, and structural steel for residential and commercial clients across northern Utah. Small crew, quality work, growing fast. The Role This is a hybrid position — you'll split time between our shop and job sites. In the shop, you'll assist with fabrication, cutting, grinding, and assembly. In the field, you'll install railings, gates, fencing, and other metalwork to finished standards. We need someone who can represent the company well on-site and handle the physical demands of installation work. What You'll Do Install custom railings, gates, fencing, and structural steel on residential and commercial job sites Drill, anchor, and mount fabricated assemblies to concrete, steel, and wood substrates Perform field measurements, verify dimensions, and coordinate with the shop for fit-up Assist with shop fabrication — cutting, grinding, welding, and assembly as needed Load/unload materials and finished product; maintain company truck and tools Communicate professionally with clients, general contractors, and inspectors on-site What We're Looking For 2+ years experience in metal installation, ironwork, fencing, or a related construction trade Experience in gate automation is a plus. Comfortable working at heights, on ladders, and in varying weather conditions Basic welding skills (MIG preferred) — enough to handle field repairs and minor adjustments Ability to read tape measures, levels, and basic shop drawings Professional demeanor and clean appearance when representing the company on job sites Valid driver's license with clean record; ability to drive a company truck and trailer Physically capable — this job involves lifting, climbing, and working on your feet all day Nice to Have Experience with concrete anchoring systems (Hilti, Tapcon, epoxy anchors) Railing or ornamental iron installation background Familiarity with gate automation (operators, wiring, limit switches) OSHA 10 or fall protection training What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Mix of shop and field work — keeps things interesting Company truck for field days Opportunity to grow with a rapidly expanding operation Small team where you're not just a number
