Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Welder specializing in GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding) or GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding) techniques, with expertise in welding aluminum or carbon steel. This role involves fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal components with precision and adherence to safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metal fabrication, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge, ensuring high-quality workmanship on construction sites or manufacturing environments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to dynamic projects while honing your welding skills in a fast-paced, safety-conscious setting. Responsibilities Perform GMAW or GTAW welding on aluminum and carbon steel materials according to technical specifications and blueprints Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to determine welding requirements Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and shop math to ensure precise dimensions and fit-up of metal components Operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, and machining equipment to prepare materials for welding and fabrication Follow safety protocols diligently, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to maintain a safe work environment Conduct quality inspections using measuring instruments and visual checks to verify weld integrity and adherence to AWS (American Welding Society) standards Assemble fabricated parts using mechanical knowledge, sheet metal techniques, and welding skills for construction or manufacturing projects Experience Proven experience in construction site environments or manufacturing facilities involving metal fabrication and welding operations Demonstrated proficiency in GMAW (MIG), GTAW (TIG), shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), and FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) processes Familiarity with interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and mechanical blueprints for fabrication tasks Hands-on experience with sheet metal fabrication, assembly, machining, plasma cutting, and use of measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers Knowledge of safety procedures related to welding operations, power tools, crane operation, and handling of various metal materials Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality and safety Join our team if you're passionate about precision welding and metal fabrication!
