Full Job Description AVANTech, LLC Columbia, SC Who We Are:
AVANTech, LLC solves some of the most challenging problems in the water industry - from being first responders to the Fukushima Nuclear Plant meltdown to implementing patented first-of-its-kind technology. Our projects include industrial water recycling and cleaning up legacy cold war wastewater at government sites. AVANTech's goal is to improve the environment around us and support our clients with innovative sustainable water treatment solutions.
Who You Are:
Minimum of 2 years experience leading MIG welders toward safely meeting production goals Must lead by example, including wearing proper PPE, being on time every day, anticipating problems, helping prevent errors, and maintaining strong situational awareness Minimum of 5 years of experience with MIG and flux-core welding Ability to interpret and troubleshoot drawings and weld symbols Ability to build frames square and flat so the next process can go smoothly Experience working with quality inspectors Experience with applicable code requirements, especially D1.1 for carbon structural work and non-code stamped tanks Previous DOD and DOE work is a plus Must understand that we are an NQA-1 shop Must understand the importance of traceability and keeping travelers up to date
