We are searching for a Steel Fabricator in the Roebuck, SC area

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing welding, fabrication, and assembly of metal structures and components. The Fabricator will work with a variety of metals, using different welding techniques to ensure high-quality welds that meet safety and project specifications. The role also involves maintaining welding equipment, following blueprints and technical drawings, and working with other team members to meet production goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform welding tasks using various welding methods (MIG, TIG, Stick, etc.) to join, fabricate, or repair metal parts and structures. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and fabricating symbols to determine the correct materials, tools, and methods for each job. Set up and operate welding equipment, including welders, grinders, and cutting tools. Prepare and clean materials to be welded by removing any debris, oil, or rust to ensure a clean weld. Inspect welded components for defects and ensure compliance with quality standards. Work collaboratively with the fabrication team to meet project timelines and production goals. Adhere to safety standards, including the proper use of protective gear (e.g., gloves, helmets, welding masks) and following safety protocols.

Qualifications:

5-10 years of Steel Fabricating experience required Proven experience as a Welder or Fabricator, with expertise in MIG, TIG, Stick, or other welding techniques. Certification in welding (e.g., AWS, MIG, TIG) preferred. Strong knowledge of safety regulations and welding standards. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. Familiarity with welding tools and equipment (e.g., welding machines, grinders, saws). Good attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality work.
