Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Ornamental Iron Installer/Welder to join our fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, welding, and fabricating decorative ironwork and metal structures with precision and craftsmanship. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from custom gates and railings to intricate architectural features, ensuring safety, quality, and aesthetic appeal. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong mechanical knowledge, welding skills, and the ability to interpret technical drawings accurately. Your expertise will contribute to delivering exceptional ornamental iron solutions that enhance our clients' spaces. Responsibilities Measure materials using tape measures, degree finders, and shop math to achieve precise cuts and fits. Fabricate metal components through metal fabrication, and assembly processes. Perform welding using various techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), and stick welding. Install ornamental ironwork on construction sites or designated locations with attention to safety protocols and project specifications. Operate power tools, hand tools, and other equipment safely and efficiently during fabrication and installation processes. Maintain a clean work environment by adhering to safety procedures and ensuring proper handling of metal materials and welding gases. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot fabrication or installation issues promptly and effectively. Requirements Proficiency in welding techniques including MIG, and stick welding. Valid driver's license. Ability to read shop drawings. Familiarity with measuring instruments such as tape measures, and other precision tools. Mechanical knowledge related to metal fabrication, and assembly processes. Experience working with various metal materials including steel, or wrought iron in fabrication shops or on-site settings. Strong shop math skills for precise measurements and calculations required during fabrication. Ability to operate power tools such as grinders, drills, saws, as well as hand tools necessary for installation tasks. Excellent mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret technical drawings and manufacturing instructions accurately.
