An Iron or Steel Worker installs iron or steel beams, girders or columns that create the structural frame for tall buildings, bridges or other large structures.
The fabricator is responsible for the production of
MIRATECH
products and components to meet internal and customer requirements.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Proficiency in sheet metal fabrication techniques and methods such as shearing, rolling, sawing, plasma cutting, punching, and forming the metals. Operate Waterjet and Press Break. Prepare sheet metal for welding per specs. To meet and/or exceed standards for safety, productivity, housekeeping, and attendance. Interpretation of blueprints and written part requirements. Process inspection, certification, and documentation as needed. Read parts list and determine if all parts are present. Interpret measurements and verify specifications. Cut and shape metals to be prepped for the welders. Other duties as assigned.
How to qualify:
High School Diploma. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints. Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. Experience in using electrical or manual tools (grinders, saws, squares, calipers etc.) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. individually and heavier items with a team lift.
