Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Pallet Builder/Repairer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining wooden pallets to ensure they meet quality standards and safety regulations. Your expertise will help streamline our logistics operations, reduce waste, and support efficient material handling across various projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a passion for woodworking, carpentry, and construction to contribute to a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment. Duties Assemble new pallets using hand tools, power tools for woodworking, and woodworking machines according to specifications and construction plans Repair damaged or broken pallets by replacing or reinforcing wood components, ensuring durability and safety Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to accurately build or restore pallets that meet industry standards Conduct inspections of pallets for quality control, identifying issues such as water damage, mold, or structural weaknesses Utilize construction estimating skills to determine materials needed for repairs or new pallet fabrication Safely operate power tools including saws, drills, sanders, and other equipment required for woodworking and assembly tasks Perform heavy lifting and manual labor as needed during pallet fabrication or repair processes Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to power tool safety protocols and OSHA standards Skills Strong knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, and interpreting technical drawings Proficiency with hand tools, power tools for woodworking, and woodworking machines used in pallet assembly and repair Experience with construction site work, residential carpentry, trim carpentry, framing, metal stud framing, masonry, and remodeling projects Skilled in wood construction materials such as plywood, lumber, rebar installation materials, siding components, and flooring materials Familiarity with water damage restoration, mold remediation, plastering, stucco application, caulking, fixture installation, door hanging, siding installation, tile laying and flooring installation techniques Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper form and technique Knowledge of construction plans including reading technical drawings related to woodwork and structural components Experience with restoration industry practices including rebar installation and water damage repair processes Strong understanding of power tool safety practices when operating drills, saws, sanders and other equipment Handyman experience is a plus; ability to perform multiple trade tasks efficiently Join us if you're eager to develop your skills in woodworking and construction while contributing to high-quality pallet solutions.
