Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Welder specializing in Aluminum TIG welding to join our dynamic fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for precisely welding aluminum components using TIG techniques, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship that meets industry standards. Your mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, and adherence to safety protocols will contribute to the successful completion of complex metal fabrication projects across various industries. Duties Perform Aluminum TIG welding on diverse metal materials, primarily sheet metal and fabricated components, following detailed blueprints and technical drawings. Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings accurately to determine weld locations, specifications, and procedures. Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, shop math, and measuring tapes to ensure precise fit-up and alignment of parts prior to welding. Operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, and machining equipment safely and efficiently during fabrication processes. Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols, including proper handling of gases, shielding gases for TIG welding, and personal protective equipment (PPE). Conduct quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to verify weld integrity and dimensional accuracy. Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks, fabrication shop activities, and mechanical fabrication projects while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Experience Proven experience in aluminum TIG welding within a manufacturing or fabrication shop environment. Strong understanding of AWS (American Welding Society) standards for aluminum welding practices. Hands-on experience with MIG (Metal Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding), and gas metal arc welding techniques is preferred. Familiarity with blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, shop math, and mechanical blueprint interpretation. Construction site experience or working on large-scale fabrication projects is a plus. Knowledge of safety protocols related to metal fabrication, welding operations, crane handling, and use of power tools. Mechanical knowledge related to assembly processes, machining operations, plasma cutting, and sheet metal fabrication is highly desirable.
