Job Overview:

Boomtown Design is seeking an experienced fabricator for its metal and steel division. Projects will include both structural and architectural steel for commercial and residential clients.

Responsibilities and Duties:

MIG, TIG and Stick welding as required Ability to work both in shop and onsite in the elements Cut, grind, prime materials for projects Read and accurately interpret structural plans and production drawings Assist with monitoring consumable inventory Assist with cleaning work areas, maintaining machines and equipment, keeping a safe and orderly environment in our shop and on job sites Maintain and operate support equipment (machines, hand tools, forklift, construction vehicles, etc) Other tasks may be assigned as needed

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in a metal and steel fabrication shop The ideal candidate will have experience in MIG and Stick welding Structural welding, fabrication and erection experience is required Knowledge and utilization of power tools and other equipment such as, grinders, drills, drill press, saws, spray painters, etc Working knowledge of standard welding tools and techniques Must be able to read and accurately interpret production drawings Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to receive orders from a supervisor and execute them proficiently and professionally Punctual, reliable and presentable Ability to do basic math and read a tape measure Ability to repeatedly complete tasks accurately and efficiently - production-minded Ability to work in a team environment Ability to lift items weighing 75 lbs or more Legally licensed and insured driver with a clean driving record Ability to recognize and execute safe work habits Must pass welding test
