Fitter $2,240+ WEEKLY Join SAVARD Personnel Group - where your skills are valued! Key ResponsibilitiesFit and assemble metal components for pressure vessels, heat exchangers, towers, and related industrial equipment.
Work with shell & tube heat exchangers and pressure vessels.
Read and interpret measurements, dimensions, drawings, and fabrication specifications.
Calculate and determine the quantity and dimensions of materials required to fabricate structures.
Perform accurate fitting, alignment, and positioning of metal components.
Tack weld components to maintain proper alignment during fabrication.
Perform thermal cutting and welding as required.
Operate oxy/fuel torches for cutting and fabrication.
Safely use come-a-longs, chain falls, rigging equipment, and other industrial tools and equipment.
Ensure fabricated components meet required specifications and dimensional tolerances.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
Experience with shell & tube heat exchangers and vessels.
Minimum 3 years of tack welding experience involving vessels and towers.
Ability to read and derive measurements, dimensions, and material quantities.
Strong understanding of metal fitting and fabrication.
Experience with thermal cutting and welding.
Proficient with an oxy/fuel torch.
Experience using come-a-longs, chain falls, and other industrial fabrication tools.
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Ability to work safely in a fabrication/shop environment.
Must be able to pass a Fitter Measuring Tape Test.
