Beaumont, TX Pay:

$26.00 per hour

Shift:

7 AM

  • 5 PM
  • Somedays till 6 PM Duties & Responsibilities Read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and rebar placement plans.

Measure, cut, bend, position, and install reinforcing steel. Tie rebar together using tie wire, pliers, and rebar-tying tools. Install rebar for foundations, slabs, walls, columns, beams, bridges, and other concrete structures. Position rebar according to required spacing, elevations, and specifications. Install supports, chairs, spacers, and other reinforcing components. Use rebar cutters, benders, grinders, saws, and other hand/power tools. Assist with loading, unloading, staging, and carrying rebar around the job site. Work closely with concrete finishers, form carpenters, laborers, equipment operators, and supervisors. Inspect installed reinforcement before concrete placement to ensure proper positioning and securement. Maintain clean and organized work areas. Follow all company and OSHA safety procedures and wear required PPE. Perform additional construction and general labor duties as assigned. Requirements Previous rebar, rod-busting, concrete, or construction experience preferred. Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic construction measurements. Knowledge of rebar installation and tying techniques preferred. Ability to safely operate hand and power tools. Ability to lift and carry heavy materials throughout the workday. Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to bend, kneel, climb, stand, and perform repetitive physical tasks. Must be dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work effectively as part of a construction crew. Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as project schedules require.

$26.00 per hour
