Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and energetic Scaffold Journeyman to lead the installation, inspection, and dismantling of scaffolding structures on various construction sites. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team dedicated to safety, precision, and quality. As a Scaffold Journeyman, you will play a vital role in ensuring safe access for construction crews while adhering to strict safety standards and technical specifications. Responsibilities Erect, modify, and dismantle scaffolding structures according to construction plans and safety guidelines Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans to determine scaffold layout and specifications Inspect scaffolding regularly for stability, safety hazards, and compliance with regulations Use hand tools and power tools designed for woodworking, metalworking, and construction assembly Collaborate with project managers, carpenters, and other trades to ensure timely completion of scaffold installation Maintain a clean work environment by organizing materials and disposing of debris properly Follow all safety protocols related to power tool operation, heavy lifting, fall protection, and site safety procedures Skills Extensive experience in construction estimating, blueprint reading, and interpreting technical drawings Proficiency with hand tools such as hammers, wrenches, pliers, as well as power tools for woodworking and metalworking Strong background in residential carpentry, framing, drywall installation, stucco application, siding, and fixture installation Knowledge of wood construction materials, metal stud framing, rebar installation, plastering, caulking, mold remediation, flooring installation, and water damage restoration Familiarity with construction site safety practices including power tool safety and heavy lifting techniques Ability to operate woodworking machines safely and efficiently Experience in fabrication processes related to scaffolding components or other structural elements Excellent skills in interpreting construction plans for various trades including carpentry and restoration projects Prior experience working on construction sites with a focus on remodeling or restoration industry standards Join our team as a Scaffold Journeyman if you're passionate about building safe structures while advancing your skills in a fast-paced environment.
