Job Description
JOB# 864-342 Pacesetter Personnel Services is actively seeking Structural Welders Class II for our client in the Brookshire, TX 77423 area.
Pay:
$ 23.00
•$26.00 an hour, depending on experience. We pay weekly.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday. Some weekends will be required. 1st shift: 6:00 am
•5:30 pm 2nd shift: 6:00 pm
•5:30 am Weld and fabricate structural steel components according to blueprints, drawings, and specifications. Perform MIG and Flux Core welding using 1/16-inch wire. Successfully perform welding in the 3G position while maintaining quality and proper weld penetration. Gouge and prepare welds and metal surfaces as required. Set up and operate welding equipment and tools safely and efficiently. Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality and project specifications. Safely move, position, and secure structural steel components during fabrication.
Requirements:
2-4 years of experience in structural steel welding and fabrication. Must be able to successfully pass a 3G weld test. Proficiency with MIG and Flux Core welding required. Experience welding with 1/16-inch wire. Must have experience with gouging. Ability to read and follow blueprints, drawings, and welding specifications. Strong understanding of structural steel fabrication and welding practices. Ability to safely handle and position large steel components. Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial/fabrication environment. Experience operating overhead cranes, jib cranes, and other lifting/rigging equipment is a plus. Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
