Responsibilities
- Fit structural steel beams, columns, HSS, frames, plates and miscellaneous components
- Read and interpret structural steel shop drawings
- Layout and position components accurately for welding
- Tack weld fitted assemblies
- Check dimensions, squareness and overall fit-up before welding
- Work independently while maintaining quality and production expectations
- Safely operate typical structural steel fabrication tools and equipment Requirements
- Previous structural steel fitting/fabrication experience
- Strong ability to read structural steel shop drawings
- Experience with beams, columns, HSS and plate assemblies
- Ability to perform layout and measurements accurately
- Tack welding experience
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Reliable and safety-conscious
