Responsibilities This opportunity is under the DOL on the job training program. Assist welders with preparing materials, tools, and equipment. Measure, cut, grind, clean, and prepare metal for welding and fabrication. Load, unload, move, and organize materials safely. Hold and position metal pieces during welding and fabrication. Operate basic hand and power tools as directed. Clean and maintain work areas, tools, and equipment. Assist with setting up and breaking down welding equipment. Follow instructions from welders, supervisors, and foremen. Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA requirements. Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Perform other general labor and fabrication duties as needed.
