Welders are responsible for assembling and fabricating metal structures and equipment through the use of welders, cutters, shapers, and measuring tools. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of welding techniques, and a commitment to safety and quality. Local Union 520 Position (Fabricator Level 1-5 depending on Experience and Weld Test)

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and detailed drawings to determine specifications and calculate the dimensions of components.
• Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using Mig, Tig and Arc welding units.
• Inspect welded surfaces and structures to discover flaws and ensure compliance with specifications.
• Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Participate in Lean Manufacturing and 5s exercises to continuously improve processes.

Union Assembler Pay Scale:

$16.85 to $42.13 Based on experience Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
