Apply Overview Level Experienced Position Type Temporary Category Skilled Labor•Trades Apply Description Position and secure steel bars or mesh in concrete forms in order to reinforce concrete. Use a variety of fasteners, rod-bending machines, blowtorches, and hand tools. Determine quantities, sizes, shapes, and locations of reinforcing rods from blueprints, sketches, or oral instructions Review blueprints or specifications to determine work requirements Space and fasten together rods in forms according to blueprints, using wire and pliers Position and secure steel bars, rods, cables, or mesh in concrete forms, using pliers, rod-bending machines, acetylene torches, or hand tools Cut rods to required lengths, using gas power saw, bar cutters, or acetylene torches Cut metal components for installation Place blocks under rebar to hold the bars off the deck when reinforcing floors Position safety or support equipment Cut and fit wire mesh or welded wire fabric in concrete to reinforce concrete Cut metal components for installation Bend steel rods with hand tools or rod-bending machines Some travel may be required Inventory materials as required Order of materials as required Cleaning cables to prep stressing procedures Stressing cables with a use of a stressing jack Lifting over 50 pounds, bending, stooping, and reaching Standing/walking for a long period of time Climbing/descending ladders, working on heights Setting column cages, pier cages and wall reinforcement Flagging/Rigging rebar (trained personnel) Adhere to all FABco safety rules and policies Housekeeping Qualifications Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
