Job Description
Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Code Welder to join our dynamic fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing precise welding and fabrication tasks on various metal materials, ensuring all projects meet strict quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate will bring construction site experience, mechanical knowledge, and proficiency in multiple welding techniques to contribute to our high-quality metal fabrication operations. Duties Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and mechanical blueprints to guide fabrication and welding processes Perform welding using various techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards Measure and mark metal materials accurately using calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math skills Cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal and other metal components utilizing plasma cutters, power tools, hand tools, and machining equipment Fabricate metal structures by welding, cutting, grinding, and assembling parts with precision on construction sites or fabrication shops Ensure all work adheres to safety protocols and construction site regulations at all times Maintain detailed records of work performed, inspection results, and compliance with quality standards Skills Extensive construction site experience with a strong understanding of safety procedures Proficiency in crane operation for lifting heavy materials during fabrication or assembly processes Skilled in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and interpreting mechanical fabrication instructions Expertise in various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, and gas metal arc welding Ability to use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and shop math for precise measurements Mechanical knowledge related to fabrication shop processes and metal materials handling Experience with sheet metal fabrication and assembly in both shop environments and construction settings Familiarity with power tools, hand tools, plasma cutting equipment, machining tools, and assembly techniques Strong understanding of AWS standards for welding quality assurance Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately for complex mechanical fabrications Knowledge of construction experience including safety protocols adherence on job sites Join our team as a Code Welder to bring your expertise in metal fabrication to life!
