The Blocker and Bracer plays a critical role in ensuring safe, secure, and compliant handling of materials throughout the supply chain. This position focuses on preparing, stabilizing, and securing items for storage, staging, transport, or shipment while maintaining accuracy, safety, and operational efficiency. Responsibilities Prepare materials, parts, and equipment for movement by blocking, bracing, cushioning, and stabilizing items according to operational and safety standards. Inspect items to determine appropriate securing methods based on size, weight, fragility, and mode of transport. Select, measure, and cut appropriate materials such as wood, metal bracing, foam, straps, and pallets. Assemble and install blocking and bracing structures using tools and equipment safely and accurately. Collaborate with warehouse teams, packaging personnel, and transportation coordinators to ensure proper securement requirements are met. Maintain compliance with regulatory guidelines, internal quality standards, and safety procedures. Document work performed, including material usage, measurements, and validations needed for shipment or storage records. Conduct regular equipment checks and maintain tools in safe working condition. Assist in loading and unloading operations, ensuring items remain stable and protected. Identify potential hazards or risks and escalate issues promptly. Qualifications 2-4 years of experience in logistics, warehouse operations, packaging, or material handling. Working knowledge of blocking and bracing techniques, construction basics, or carpentry-related tasks. Ability to interpret technical drawings, load plans, or securement specifications. Proficiency with common warehouse tools (saws, drills, nail guns, banding tools, etc.). Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Ability to lift and maneuver heavy materials per workplace safety guidelines. Effective communication and teamwork skills Ability to pass Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Screening. Ability to receive a favorable TIER-1 investigation and obtain/maintain a CAC.

Desired Qualifications:

Valid Driver's License. Commercial Driver License with Passenger Endorsement. High School Diploma / GED preferred.

Physical Demands & Working Environment:

Ability to lift to 50 lbs. and perform routine standing, walking, bending, climbing, and reaching. Work performed in both warehouse and field environments, indoors and outdoors. Must be able to work in extreme heat or cold, high/low humidity, blowing sand or dust, confined spaces, heights, and inclement weather. Periodic overtime required, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Long, strenuous hours and ability to work under pressure. Frequent interaction with customers. Exposure to heat, cold, dust, and adverse weather conditions. Requires stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, and prolonged sitting. PPE required in designated areas (head, foot, hand, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protection).
