Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Fabricator - Rebar and become a vital part of the construction and manufacturing industry! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for fabricating rebar components used in concrete reinforcement, ensuring precision and quality in every project. Your expertise will help bring large-scale infrastructure projects to life, contributing to the safety and durability of structures. Responsibilities Interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately cut, bend, and assemble rebar components. Operate various fabrication shop tools including press brake machines, plasma cutters, and hand tools to shape and assemble metal parts. Perform welding tasks using MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, and welding techniques according to AWS standards to ensure strong, reliable joints. Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and schematics to verify dimensions and maintain quality standards. Read and interpret construction blueprints and schematics for proper fabrication sequences and assembly procedures. Handle rigging, pipe threading, and assembly of rebar structures on-site or within the shop environment. Maintain a clean, safe work area by adhering to OSHA regulations and safety protocols while operating power tools and machinery. Requirements Proven construction site experience with a focus on metal fabrication or rebar work. Skilled in MIG welding, TIG welding, shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), FCAW, gas metal arc welding (GMAW), and welding techniques. Ability to read mechanical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. Proficient with hand tools, power tools, plasma cutting equipment, press brake machines, and sheet metal fabrication processes. Knowledge of ASME codes & standards for fabrication and welding practices. Familiarity with shop math including basic calculations for measurements and material estimations. Experience with construction projects involving ductwork, piping, structural steel fabrication or similar fields is highly desirable. Mechanical knowledge of rigging, machining, soldering, pipe threading, and assembly processes. Valid forklift certification or experience operating forklifts is a plus.
