SHOP HELPER / ENTRY-LEVEL FABRICATION

Triple J Contractors LLC is looking for a dependable Shop Helper to join our structural steel fabrication shop in Pasadena, TX. This is an entry-level position assisting our fabricators with material preparation and day-to-day shop production. We are looking for someone who is mechanically inclined, willing to work, and interested in learning the steel fabrication trade.

Job Duties:

Assist with cutting angles, clips, plates, and other miscellaneous steel components Measure and mark material for cutting and fabrication Assist fabricators and welders with material preparation Grind, clean, and prep steel Operate basic hand and power tools Move, stage, load, and unload steel and materials Keep work areas and equipment clean and organized Perform other shop and fabrication duties as needed

Requirements:

Must be able to accurately read a tape measure Dependable and able to show up on time Able to follow measurements and instructions Comfortable using basic hand and power tools Able to lift and handle steel/materials Willing to learn and work in a fast-paced fabrication shop Must work safely and follow shop procedures Previous construction, welding, or fabrication experience is a plus, but not required Schedule -6am -5pm

M-Th Pay:

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
