Job Description

Triple J Contractors, LLC - Houston, TX Area Triple J Contractors is looking for an experienced Structural Ironworker to join our steel erection team. We primarily work on retail buildings, commercial projects, and pre-engineered metal buildings (PEMBs) . Most of our work involves straightforward structural steel and metal building erection using Lulls/telehandlers, boom lifts, and scissor lifts. We are looking for someone who knows how to work, shows up consistently, and can contribute without needing to be taught the basics every day. There is opportunity for the right person to grow into a crew lead or foreman position as we continue adding crews. Responsibilities Structural steel erection PEMB erection Connecting and bolting structural steel Plumbing and aligning steel Installing joists, bridging, deck, and miscellaneous steel Installing PEMB primary and secondary framing Operating Lulls/telehandlers and aerial lifts Reading erection drawings and basic plans Working safely at heights Field welding as required Helping keep the crew productive and the jobsite organized Qualifications Previous structural ironworking or metal building erection experience Comfortable working from lifts and at heights Able to use standard ironworking tools safely Able to read a tape measure and understand basic construction drawings Reliable transportation Dependable attendance Able to work well as part of a crew Willing to travel for out-of-town projects when required Preferred Qualifications Ability to pass an

structural steel welding test Previous structural field welding experience Experience operating Lulls/telehandlers, boom lifts, and scissor lifts Experience leading small crews or interest in developing into a crew lead position Out-of-Town Work Some projects require travel outside the Houston metro area. For qualifying out-of-town projects, Triple J Contractors provides: Company-paid lodging Company-provided meals or food Additional compensation for out-of-town assignments Travel compensation details will be discussed during the interview process. Schedule This is a full-time position. Schedule varies by project. Applicants should be comfortable working full construction days and occasional overtime when required by the project. Compensation Pay based on experience and ability. Experienced structural ironworkers with strong production skills, welding ability, equipment experience, or leadership experience will be compensated accordingly.
