Job Overview We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated PT Nurse Practitioner DOT Certified to join our healthcare team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an advanced practice provider to deliver comprehensive patient care within a dynamic clinical setting. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in medical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment, with a strong emphasis on DOT (Department of Transportation) physical examinations and related services. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will collaborate with the close team of physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes while adhering to regulatory standards. Responsibilities Conduct thorough physical examinations and medical assessments for patients seeking DOT certifications, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. Administer DOT-specific tests such as drug and alcohol screening, vision testing, and medical history review. Prescribe medications and treatment plans based on patient evaluations, following HIPAA and DEA regulations. Patient injury care and case management. Maintain accurate and detailed medical documentation. Collaborate with healthcare professionals across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including referrals for specialized services like cardiology or neurology when necessary. Educate patients on health maintenance, injury prevention, and lifestyle modifications tailored to their occupational needs. Manage administrative duties related to medical records, CPT coding, ICD coding, and compliance with Workers' Compensation Law. Participate in quality assurance activities including clinical research initiatives or infection control protocols to uphold high standards of care. Requirements Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner with valid state licensure and active DOT certification. Proven experience in primary care settings with familiarity in occupational health services, including, injury care and case management. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques and strong commitment to quality patient care. Proficiency in documentation and scheduling. Ability to perform procedures including venipuncture, IV infusion, suturing, catheterization, and dermal filler administration if applicable. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and best practices for maintaining patient confidentiality. Excellent communication skills for client education and interdisciplinary collaboration within an well-established medical care environment. Pay:
From $75.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 25.0 per week
