PAL-CON, Ltd. repairs, services, refurbishes, manufactures, removes, and installs gas turbine regenerators for the natural gas and electric utility industries. Regenerators are built and installed for efficient heat transfer from one medium to another.

A FITTER/FABRICATOR

will be required to perform a variety of duties from moderately difficult to complex in order to ensure safe, timely, efficient, and accurate production and fabrication of structures to drawing specifications as required to meet our clients' schedules.

A FITTER/FABRICATOR

will assist in the fabrication and/or modification of projects. The

FABRICATOR/FITTER

must possess above average communication and interpersonal skills. He/she must be highly detail oriented; make and retain detailed, accurate notes. He /she must be familiar with the materials used and tasks performed at PAL-CON, Ltd. The

FABRICATOR/FITTER

must be familiar with safety rules and regulations as they apply to the work being performed by PAL-CON, Ltd. whether at the shop or on a job site.

A FITTER/FABRICATOR

may be required to travel.

A FITTER/FABRICATOR

will be required to perform a variety of skilled duties as assigned by the foreman or superintendent in a professional, proficient manner.

A FITTER/FABRICATOR

must be able to facilitate the completion of steel structures according to drawings or as directed by an immediate supervisor.

A FITTER/FABRICATOR

must be able to determine the proper technique to utilize given the assigned task. In general, a

FITTER/FABRICATOR

must be able to operate hand and power tools; lift and/or carry equipment, materials, and/or supplies weighing up to 50 pounds; climb ladders; read, speak, write, and understand English; establish and maintain effective working relationships; and work in awkward positions, tight spaces, and/or in abnormal conditions for extended periods of time.

A FITTER/FABRICATOR

may be required to fabricate catwalks, pipelines, duct work; construct, repair, or refurbish heavy metal structures; and deconstruct heavy metal structures, catwalks, pipelines, and duct work.

A FITTER/FABRICATOR

will be expected to convey their technical expertise, mechanical aptitude, time usage, compliance with safety rules and regulations (Federal, state, local, and company), and the importance of quality control. He/she must take direction well without deviation. A FITTER/FABRICATOR's required to have at least three years' experience in a fast-paced construction site or industrial manufacturing environment. A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory. Valid identification is required; must be able to pass a drug test. He/she will follow the appropriate chain of command. Part time positions are available for qualified candidates. A FITTER/FABRICATOR's rate of pay is negotiable depending on experience. Our current work hours are Monday through Thursday from 7:00 AM until 5:30 PM. You may apply in person, Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM.
