Salt Lake City, UT About the Role Calaway Designs is a custom metal and wood fabrication shop specializing in high-end residential and commercial projects . We are hiring a Metal Fabricator to join our fabrication team, guiding projects through design, fabrication and installation. This role is for an experienced fabricator who can perform skilled welding techniques in shop, perform installs with proficiency, and will ensure that every detail is executed to a high standard. Our fabrication team is trusted to represent Calaway Designs both in shop and on site, producing quality custom projects that meet our clients needs. What You'll Be Responsible For Fabricate custom railings, doors, and other architectural metal/wood projects Performing welding skills with efficiency, skill and safety Read shop drawings and verify dimensions for finished projects Coordinate professionally with coworkers, giving feedback or insight that can help build a better finished product Maintain clean, organized, and safe work stations Complete final quality checks before sending finished projects to other departments Required Experience & Qualifications 5+ years fabricating custom railings and doors 3+ year experience with TIG welding (stainless, brass) Prior experience performing on site installs Strong finish quality and attention to detail Confident reading shop drawings Valid driver's license and clean driving record Reliable transportation to shop (Murray, UT) Preferred (Not Required) Metal finishing, patinas Why Work at Calaway Designs High-end, custom projects (not production or tract work) Competitive pay with room for growth Overtime opportunities Flexible scheduling when possible Tools and safety equipment provided Small, skilled team where leadership and craftsmanship matter Work Environment Shop based in Murray, UT Install work primarily in Summit & Wasatch Counties Full-time, in-person role Apply If you're an experienced fabricator with railing and door expertise , a clean driving record, and pride in performing in a leadership roll, we want to hear from you.
