Field Foreman - Iron Worker Structural Rightway Fabrication Corporation West Jordan, UT Job Details Full-time $42 - $47 an hour 5 hours ago Benefits Health savings account Paid holidays Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Vision insurance 401(k) matching Qualifications Outdoor work experience Steel construction materials American Welding Society (AWS) standards Steel frame structures Full Job Description Rightway Steel is seeking experienced Ironworkers and Steel Erectors to join our field team of qualified welders and steel installers. This job will entail working on construction sites around Utah to install structural and miscellaneous steel under the direction of Rightway's foremen and project superintendents. The ideal candidate will possess the following skills: Be capable and confident with cutting, welding, and installing steel. Work within a collaborative team environment. Adhere to all safety standards provided by the company. Effective Communication skills. Attention to detail. Physically able to do the job. Ability to do math, read tape measure, and analytical thinking. Must be able to pass an AWS welding certification test.. Competency with reading erection drawings. Able to pass or have Boom/Scissor lift, forklift certification & experience. Ability to maintain safety and housekeeping practices at active job sites. Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions as this is a field position. Must have reliable transportation to and from the work site.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This job would entail a variety of daily tasks and responsibilities including but not limited to the following: Field installation as directed by the project manager. Daily field foreman responsibilities including, planning, performing work, and managing resources and schedule Safety management on the jobsite Leadership within the job including managing resources, time cards, daily's Manage equipment maintenance Stage material Weld/Fit all provided drawings Field equipment operation Cutting material to lengths as required Rolling in and out of the job site safely and effectively each day Punching / drilling holes Grinding and cleaning final product Marking finished product All other misc. tasks requested by Rightway Fabrication leadership
QUALIFICATIONS
Certified Welder certificate or equivalent Welding Qualification Cert Minimum 3-5 years' experience in steel fabrication or erection Construction safety training and experience (preferred) Equipment operation training and certificates (preferred)
