Job Description
Hudson Sheet Metal Co. is looking for a hardworking, dependable Sheet Metal Helper to join our team in Ashland, VA. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to learn the sheet metal and fabrication trade. Job Responsibilities Assist sheet metal fabricators with daily shop and field work Load, unload, move, and organize materials Assist with measuring, cutting, cleaning, bending, fitting, and assembling sheet metal Use basic hand and power tools safely Help prepare materials and parts for fabrication and installation Assist with industrial and custom fabrication projects Maintain a clean and organized work area Follow safety procedures and instructions from supervisors Perform other duties as needed to support the fabrication team Qualifications Previous sheet metal, construction, fabrication, or mechanical experience is a plus, but not required Willingness to learn and take direction Reliable and dependable Strong work ethic and positive attitude Able to work with hand and power tools Able to lift and move materials as required Comfortable working in a shop and in the field on job sites Must be able to work well as part of a team Valid driver's license required
