Job Description
PeopleReady Skilled Trades - Marine Division is hiring experienced First Class Shipfitters to work at NASSCO in the Bremerton yard.
Interested candidates must have a minimum of 5 years' experience working in a shipyard environment and meet the requirements below. All candidates will be administered for a skills test, drug screening and must pass a background check in order to obtain DBIDs.
Pay & Per Diem Up to $32.35/hour$178/day per diem - 7 days (Candidates must reside at least 65 miles away from jobsite location)Qualifications/Experience RequiredMust know all of the 1st and 2nd class Shipfitter requirements.
Must be able to safely operate a torch and plasma in all positions.
Must be able to bevel plate edges and TAOs using the correct joint design.
Must have knowledge of WAFs.
Must be able to read and interpret NAVSEA drawing and blueprints.
