Overview We are seeking a skilled Railing and General Fabricator to join our dynamic fabrication team. This role involves transforming raw metal materials into high-quality railings, structural components, and custom fabrications that meet precise specifications. In this position, you will play a vital part in delivering durable, aesthetically pleasing metal solutions for a variety of projects, ensuring each piece aligns with technical drawings and industry standards. Responsibilities Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings to accurately cut, shape, and assemble metal components. Operate power tools, welding equipment (including

MIG, TIG

), plasma cutters, press brakes, and machining tools to fabricate parts. Measure materials with calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to ensure precision in fabrication. Perform sheet metal fabrication tasks such as cutting, bending, soldering, and forming using appropriate tools and techniques. Use shop math and basic math skills to calculate dimensions, material requirements, and fabrication tolerances. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and handling metal materials responsibly. Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while ensuring quality craftsmanship in all fabrications. Experience Proven experience working on construction sites or in fabrication shops with metal materials. Hands-on experience operating welding equipment including MIG, TIG, and flux-cored arc welding Familiarity with interpreting mechanical blueprints and technical drawings for fabrication projects. Knowledge of pipe threading, ductwork fabrication, plasma cutting, press brake operation, machining processes, and sheet metal fabrication techniques. Ability to utilize measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers accurately for quality control. Mechanical knowledge related to structural steel or metal railing systems is highly desirable. Strong understanding of safety protocols related to welding, cutting, machining, and handling heavy materials in compliance with industry standards.
