Our client is a third-generation, family-owned company that has been around for 50 + years! Position Summary Seeking an experienced Structural Steel Welder to join our team. Reporting to the Structural Shop Foreman, this position is responsible for fitting, fabricating, and welding structural steel and miscellaneous metal components according to blueprints, AWS standards, and customer specifications. Key Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings. Fit and weld structural steel components to required specifications and quality standards. Set up and operate welding equipment using the appropriate wire, gas, and machine parameters. Fabricate miscellaneous metals, including handrails, stairs, and guardrails. Operate fabrication equipment, including plasma cutting and tube-bending equipment, as needed. Use precision measuring tools to verify dimensions and finished work. Grind, clean, and finish fabricated products to customer specifications. Operate cranes, hoists, rigging, forklifts, and material-handling equipment. Track job progress and quality documentation using an iPad. Communicate project status and requirements with supervisors and team members. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. 5+ years of welding/fabrication experience preferred. Experience with structural steel and miscellaneous metal fabrication. Strong blueprint-reading and fabrication skills. Knowledge of AWS welding symbols and

standards. Working knowledge of welding techniques, metal properties, fabrication practices, and shop equipment.

certification or ability to obtain certification immediately upon hire. Ability to perform basic shop math, including measurements, proportions, percentages, algebra, and geometry. Strong problem-solving, communication, and attention-to-detail skills. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods; bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and reach as required; and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.

Pay:

$24.00 - $35.00 per hour
