Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Structure Steel Fabricator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling structural steel components used in large-scale construction projects. Your expertise in metal fabrication, blueprint interpretation, and welding techniques will ensure the delivery of high-quality steel structures that meet safety standards and project specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a dedicated team committed to precision craftsmanship and safety excellence. Duties Read and interpret structural blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to determine cutting, welding, and assembly requirements. Measure, mark, and cut steel materials using calipers, micrometers, plasma cutters, and other precision measuring instruments. Fabricate structural steel components by performing various welding techniques including FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), MIG (Metal Inert Gas) in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards. Use power tools, hand tools, machining equipment, and plasma cutting machines to shape and assemble metal materials accurately. Operate cranes and other lifting equipment safely to position heavy steel components during fabrication and installation processes. Ensure all work adheres to safety protocols, shop math calculations, and quality control standards throughout the fabrication process. Maintain detailed records of work performed, inspections conducted, and materials used in compliance with company procedures. Skills Extensive experience involving structural steel components. Proficiency in reading blueprints and interpreting technical drawings for precise fabrication. Strong knowledge of welding techniques including FCAW and MIG welding. Skilled in measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools for accurate cuts and fits. Familiarity with shop math calculations necessary for fabrication tasks. Ability to operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, machining equipment, and cranes safely and effectively. Mechanical knowledge of metal materials including sheet metal fabrication and structural steel components. Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: No more than 48.0 per week
