Environmental Tech Waste Connections 401(k) United States, Kentucky, Lily Sep 09, 2026 Are you mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and passionate about environmental stewardship? Waste Connections is hiring ahands-on Environmental Technicianto support landfill gas systems, leachate collection, and compliance operations across two key sites. What You'll Do Monitor and tune landfill gas well fields

Perform general well field maintenance (extend wells, pull pumps, run new lines)

Assist with leachate collection system operations

Conduct routine inspections and take well field readings

Support compliance tasks including monthly reports, site observations, and inspections

Collaborate with gas plant technicians and landfill operators on daily operations

Identify and mitigate environmental hazards (e.g., leachate seeps)

Lead or assist in repairs to reduce environmental risks

Track and support contractor work and post-audit corrections

Interpret and work from technical drawings, schematics, and diagrams

Assist with ordering parts and understanding budgeting processes What We're Looking For Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related fieldpreferred

Mechanical or technical backgrounda plus

Ability to read and understand technical diagrams and schematics

Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

Experience with compliance systems (e.g., iAuditor)preferred

Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
