Full-Time | Outdoor field work (8-10 hours/day)

Entry level apprentice role with a direct pathway to senior technician positions Role Summary Join our team in reducing environmental pollution and greenhouse gases! As a Landfill Gas Technician , you'll perform hands-on field monitoring, data logging, and equipment maintenance to keep landfill gas systems operating safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities Emissions Monitoring:
Walk designated landfill routes using specialized air sampling and monitoring equipment.
Gas Well Inspection:
Take precise readings at gas wells, troubleshoot system issues, and assist with repairs.
Data Management:
Input daily work logs, field data, and regulatory checklists using MS Office.
Safety First:
Adhere to safety protocols, wearing OSHA Level D protective gear as required.
Candidate Requirements Must-Haves:
Experience:
Outdoor work experience, landfill experience is a plus
Age:
21 years of age or older
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent, Bachelors in an Environmental field or
Engineering License:
Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
Physical Fitness:
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and walk several miles daily in outdoor weather conditions
Travel:
Willingness to travel occasionally
Clearance:
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and motor vehicle check
Work Authorization:
Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field Prior experience in landfill gas, surface emissions monitoring, construction, landscaping, or outdoor field services Hands-on experience operating small power tools or light machinery
