Full-time About Rock N Block Rock N Block Turf N Hardscapes is a growing landscaping and outdoor-living company specializing in artificial turf, pavers, concrete, landscape design, putting greens, retaining walls, patio covers, and other hardscape and landscape solutions. We create high-quality outdoor transformations for residential and commercial customers throughout Southern California. Position Overview We are seeking a hands-on Sales Manager to lead, coach, and develop our San Diego sales team. This person will oversee sales performance and team accountability while helping ensure that every project is sold accurately, communicated clearly, and positioned for profitability. This is an active leadership role for someone who coaches employees, solves problems, improves performance, and holds the team accountable—not someone who simply monitors numbers. Key Responsibilities Lead, coach, and hold the San Diego sales team accountable to company goals and processes. Track revenue, closing rates, lead performance, and individual salesperson results. Review sales contracts for accurate pricing, scope, measurements, materials, and costs. Ensure change orders are properly documented, approved, and collected. Identify contract and sales issues that could negatively affect project profitability. Coordinate with project managers, production, and administrative teams to ensure a smooth handoff from the sale through project completion and final collection. Help resolve customer concerns and escalations when necessary. Ensure sales representatives follow up on outstanding customer balances. Train and develop new and existing Design Consultants. Conduct regular one-on-one meetings and provide coaching, feedback, and performance management. Report sales results, challenges, and growth opportunities to company ownership. Promote a culture of accountability, communication, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Qualifications Three or more years of sales management experience preferred. Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, and developing a sales team. Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Comfortable reviewing contracts, pricing, job costs, and profitability. Experience using CRM systems and sales reporting tools. Home improvement, construction, landscaping, or home-services experience is strongly preferred. Bilingual English and Spanish is a plus. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. You take ownership, communicate clearly, and address problems before they affect customers or profitability. You will work closely with company ownership, project managers, production, and administrative teams to ensure projects are sold correctly, communicated properly, and remain profitable.
