Senior Landscape Architect•Project Lead CM GAI Consultants Inc. life insurance, paid time off, paid holidays, tuition reimbursement, 401(k) United States, York, White Plains 2 William Street (Show on map) Aug 11, 2026 Description The Senior Landscape Architect•Project Manager (LA) functions as a fully competent Landscape Architect in all aspects of the subject matter of assignments, responsible for planning and designing various community facilities and places. Develops and evaluates plans for a variety of assignments including tasks carried out by others. Assesses the feasibility and soundness of proposal preparation. Performs and manages complex and sensitive professional landscape architecture designs and planning projects that are authentic to the local context and community setting. The PM/Sr LA is expected to manage clients, track project budgets, engage in business development, and professional networking. The position often requires effort outside normal business hours to meet client requests and/or attend meetings.
Essential Functions:
Responsible for technical and Project Management for the day-to-day preparation of deliverables. Develop and grow client relationships and partnerships. Responsible for the day-to-day staffing and project scheduling. Lead or assist on complex LA projects, designs, planning studies, contracts, and proposals. Review complete project documents and QA/QC. Represent the organization in communications and conferences. Train and provide technical guidance to staff. Produce project reports, designs, graphics in plan, section, and 3-D / Perspective views. Lead project/public meetings on complex projects. Responsible for QA/QC. Attend proposal interviews. Prepare bills for projects.
Additional Responsibilities:
Identifies, organizes and leads community service programs Functional manager to staff Knowledge of pertinent federal, state and local laws, codes and regulations Adept with citizen involvement techniques and processes Perform other duties as assigned.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field.
Job Prerequisites:
10 years of experience, including 3 to 4 years supervisory. Landscape Architecture license is strongly desired. Active member of a professional practice organization. Thorough knowledge of the principles, practices and techniques of Landscape Architecture and Planning.
Additional Skills/Abilities:
Strong organizational skills required; ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Must have advanced oral, written and graphic communication skills. Must be able to efficiently and effectively delegate tasks/projects. Must be able to effectively motivate and develop staff. Must have strong financial skills related to budget and project billing.
Supervisory Responsibility:
Supervise all staff necessary to complete assignments. Ability to provide effective supervision and staff management. Albany, NY:
$48/hour•$65/hour
Poughkeepsie, NY:
$50/hour•$70/hour
White Plains, NY:
