Job Description
About the Role The Water Resources group at AKRF is seeking a Landscape Designer to be based out of the Philadelphia, PA office . This individual will serve a key function in the design and management of a broad range of projects for both our municipal and private sector clients. The potential candidate will have the opportunity to work in an environment of encouragement and collaboration to help AKRF shape the future of the region.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide project and task support for major landscape architecture and engineering design projects including site layout, grading, planting design, drainage/storm sewer systems, stormwater management, erosion & sediment pollution control, and related supporting disciplines. Support tasks including preparation of landscape and site engineering drawings, specifications and reports for projects. Support tasks including preparation of renderings, graphics, and other visual materials. Support tasks including preparation of permit packages and municipal land development applications for projects. Support project management responsibilities including supporting discrete technical tasks and adhering to task budgets and schedules. Day-to-day project communication and coordination with co-workers, clients and other design consultants.Essential Requirements:
1-2 years of experience Bachelor s Degree in Landscape Architecture, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science or a related discipline Proficiency in Adobe Design Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign is preferred. Proficiency in 3D modeling software such as Rhino, Sketchup, and rendering plug-ins such as V-ray is preferred. Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D is preferred Proficiency in hydrologic and hydraulic analysis/modeling preferred Experience integrating geospatial data/GIS in the infrastructure planning and design workflow is a plus Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work both independently and collaboratively Superior attention to detail and organizational ability Must have a valid driver s license Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer Compensation Compensation to be commensurate with experience.
