Job Description
Howard Formby Garden Design is seeking an experienced Landscape Architect to join our design studio. Dedicated to all aspects of garden and landscape design, Howard Formby Garden Design specializes in regenerative landscapes and garden conservation. The studio provides a comprehensive range of services, from initial site planning and concept development through detailed design and installation coordination. Our collaborative studio environment values innovation and thoughtful design. We are looking for a landscape architect who is passionate about design and eager to contribute to a creative, detail-oriented team. Qualifications Professional licensure as a Landscape Architect Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture 5+ years of professional experience in landscape architecture preferred Proficiency in drafting and documentation software, such as AutoCAD Experience with presentation and visualization software, including Adobe InDesign, SketchUp, or related programs Strong understanding of landscape design principles, including site analysis, grading, planting design, and hardscape design Key Attributes Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work Strong creative instincts and a thoughtful eye for design Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines Excellent verbal and written communication skills Receptive to constructive feedback and able to incorporate direction effectively Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team Genuine interest in landscape design, garden conservation, and regenerative landscape practices Schedule & Work Environment Commitment of 3 days per week Hybrid work-from-home arrangement negotiable Collaborative studio environment with opportunities for professional growth and development
